Kronospan Design Days in Cologne: A Targeted Showcase of Innovation, Quality, and Collaboration
From May 20th to 23rd, 2025, Kronospan hosted the Kronospan Design Days at Design Post Cologne—a highly focused event organized specifically for professionals. It brought together architects, designers, furniture manufacturers, and key industry partners for four days of meaningful interactions, product discovery, and inspiration.
Unlike traditional trade shows, the Kronospan Design Days were invented to foster deeper engagement and interaction. Every aspect of it—location, content, and scheduling—was curated to maximize the value of time spent with the products and their innovations. Attendees from 342 companies representing 66 countries visited the event, including major players in the furniture industry, architects, and top-level retail and distribution partners. The exclusive participation from decision-makers underscored the importance of the Kronospan brands and their growing influence in shaping interior trends.
A central focus of the exhibition was the Kronodesign® Trend Collection, which showcased the latest decorative interior solutions. These were brought to life through real-size boards and surface materials, repeat-free worktops, and lightweight panels, allowing attendees to experience the textures, tones, and emotions behind the concept.
Kronospan presented Black Line, a new development in the field of wood-based and low-emission panels that meet the latest European environmental standards. It is a versatile, compact panel featuring eco-friendly, waterproof, and antibacterial surfaces suitable for both interior and exterior applications.
The interest was strong, with industry insiders praising both the format and content. The Design Days successfully shaped a space where people passionate about materials, textures, and finishes could connect on a deeper level—not only with the products but with one another. Pre-scheduled meetings ensured productive dialogue, while the exhibition area allowed hands-on interaction with the products. Over 150 one-on-one meetings were scheduled between CEOs, sales teams, and key clients, deepening partnerships and shaping future collaborations.
